Clear process, clear rationale. I believe transparency—especially regarding underlying values, data, models, and assumptions—is the key to trust building. Even when consensus isn’t possible, a transparent process strengthens relationships and ensures that decision-making rationale is clear, constructive, and mindful of diverse perspectives.

Expanding the circle of stewardship. Natural resources are a public trust, and more voices than ever are interested in their management.
